Actionable
The Qatar business visa allows foreign nationals to enter Qatar for meetings, site visits, contract negotiations, and commercial due diligence without requiring a work permit. Available as single-entry or multiple-entry, it is the standard entry route for investors exploring opportunities before committing to full company formation.
Types of Business Visas
- Single-entry business visa — valid for one entry, 30-day stay. Suitable for a specific meeting or site visit.
- Multiple-entry business visa — valid for up to 12 months with multiple entries, each stay limited to 30 days. Ideal for investors making repeated trips during company setup.
- GCC resident business visa — residents of other GCC countries can obtain a visa on arrival for business purposes.

What You Can Do on a Business Visa
A business visa allows you to attend meetings, visit potential office locations, meet with government officials, open preliminary bank discussions, and evaluate the market. You cannot work, earn income, or operate a business. For that, you need a Qatar investor visa or work visa.
Planning tip
If you plan multiple visits during your company setup phase, apply for a multiple-entry business visa from the start. It saves time and cost compared to applying for a new single-entry visa each trip.
